This online magazine publishes thoughtful, well-written articles on all aspects of web development. The focus tends to be on design and implementation but is not limited to those. Computer Recycling Center / Computers & Education
If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area the Computer Recyling Center offers a great way to responsibly dispose of old computer equipment, either working or not. They have pick-up locations in Sunnyvale, Santa Rosa and San Francisco, with those in S.F. on a rotating basis. I have dropped off several systems in San Francisco and have found the published schedule to be reliable and the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. EF 4-2007
Writeboard
This is a free, web-based service that allows you to easily compose a small, simple text document and share it with others for viewing and editing. Moreover, every revision of the document can be saved as a distinct version that can be recovered and compared to. Access is password-protected. You can also export/download the document to your own system to make sure that you have a local copy. Chris and I have used Writeboards for over a year to collaboratively brainstorm ideas, maintain to-do lists, and track defects and issues in our projects. EF 4-2007
